WEATHER POLICY

A detailed overview of the Helen Rice Tennis School weather policy can be seen below.

It is essential that all lessons are run in a safe environment to ensure the safety of all members. As such all group lessons at Netherby and Denman will be run inside in the event of adverse weather.

Wet Weather:

Lessons will not be cancelled due to rain unless the coach deems the court to be unfit for play at the start of the lesson so we advise you to come to the courts at all times. Helen Rice Tennis School will conduct ALL  group sessions off court conducting invaluable video, agility and quiz/scoring sessions if the weather makes it unsuitable to play, with the exception of RED BALL AT NETHERBY TC ONLY as there isn’t enough room.

These wet weather sessions will happen once per term.

Hot Weather:

Please refer to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website the morning of your scheduled lesson when viewing the forecast temperature.

Lessons scheduled to end before, or at, 11:30am: Are on, regardless of forecast temperature (unless you hear otherwise from the HRTS office phone).

Lessons commencing after or scheduled to finish after 11:30am: If on the morning of the lesson, the forecast on the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website at 7am is 38 degrees or more, the lessons will be rescheduled.

Make up lessons due to weather:

In the event that HRTS does cancel a lesson due to weather, we may offer a make-up lesson at our discretion either at another time during the week, or in the week immediately following end of term.

Be sure to follow the Helen Rice Tennis School Facebook for weather related lesson updates.
