Junior Competition Tennis in Adelaide

Tennis Competition | HRTS Students at our Hot Shots Showdown

Learn to compete

Competitive matches are a great way to for students of all ages to consolidate learning from group or private lessons.

The Helen Rice Tennis School is affiliated with both the Denman Tennis Club and the Bellevue Heights Tennis Club.

Both of these clubs submit orange, green and yellow ball teams in the Southern Districts Tennis Association Junior competition.

Our ANZ Hot Shots Showdowns are great way to see if your child is ready to take the next step and play regular club matches. They are run at the end of each school term and introduce players to a tennis match environment.
If they sound like a better fit you can check it out in more detail here.

Saturday morning games

Higher division matches start at 8.30am with lower division and Hot Shots matches starting at 10.45am.

Each player plays a double and single

This allows all players to experience both the team and independent formats of tennis.

Matches first to 6 (orange ball first to four)

Modified matches are a recent addition as a result of the successful ANZ Hot Shots program. We encourage parents to umpire and assist where needed in Orange and Green Ball matches.

Team Environment

We want all of our students to have a wonderful experience in all of their matches and the unique, social side of Junior Tennis Competition in Adelaide allows for players to compete in a team environment.

If you are interested in joining a team we recommend you speak to your coach or contact us directly by calling 0428988873 or emailing [email protected] for further information.
There are many different grades and formats so all standards are welcome.

Competitive tennis is a fantastic supplement to either private or group coaching. You can view our wide range of coaching programs here.
