Play Social Pickleball in Adelaide

We’re excited to announce our first ever Pickleball social competition is starting this term at Netherby Tennis Club.

Players will be divided into doubles pairs and play Pickleball (rules explained below). All players are welcome!
You can choose to come as a pair or come alone and we’ll pair you up on the day.

A brief overview of the pickleball rules are explained below:

  • The ball is served diagonally to the opponent’s service court underhanded without bouncing it off the court.
  • Points are scored by the serving side only and occur when the opponent faults (fails to return the ball, hits ball out of bounds, etc.). The server continues to serve, alternating service courts, until the serving side faults. The first side scoring 11 points and leading by at least a 2-point margin wins. If both sides are tied, then play continues until one side wins by 2 points.
  • Double Bounce Rule: Following the serve, each side must make at least one ground-stroke, prior to volleying the ball (hitting it before it has bounced).
  • Non-Volley Zone: A player cannot volley a ball while standing within the non-volley zone.

CARDIO TENNIS

Cardio Tennis is the leading tennis coaching workout program in Adelaide. Catering for all fitness levels, it brings together a variety of cardio workouts and a range of fun tennis drills, all to a high-energy soundtrack. The program is focused on leading a healthy, fun and active lifestyle. We currently offer Cardio classes Monday-Friday, daytime and evening sessions, so you can be sure we can find a time that suits.

Sessions are open to players of all ages and abilities and range between 45 – 75 minutes, depending which option you choose. Come and give it a try and be ready to burn calories, increase your heart rate and laugh while doing so. It is so much fun!
